When and how do you know to use squares? I would also like to know some basic information about squares when dealing with factors. I also would like to know the equations associated with the squares. And the steps in how to go about solving an expression when asked to factor square. For example when seeing the expression z^2-81 instantly what would I do? Like I thought of nine but I knew it wasn't because its not a prime number but when I looked at the steps it said it was 3^4 and I knew that made sense but I only knew the equation A^2-B^2=(A-B)(A+B) so I didn't know how and why there was a 3^4. What I'm trying to say is that please treat me as a beginner and explain the steps throughly please. Thank you in advance.
