a=2x+6xz, your solution x=a/2(3z+1) why isn't it, x=a/6z=2

The denominator 2(3z+1) could be expanded to 6z+2 but a factored form is the best simplest form.  This is also similar to prime factorization, which is used in order to clearly identify cancellations.
