could you help me? How do I enter polynomial functions when trying to factor for f and g. For example: When given the question to find f + g for the given functions:

f(x)=x+4 and g(x)=-7x-6

Answer provided by our tutors

To add two functions, either use one of the Function Wizards from Algebrator or enclose each statement in parentheses and add them together.  As follows:

(x+4)+(-7x-6)

so (f+g)(x)=-6x-2
