The problem
how did the equation get to -2x>2?
Answer provided by our tutors
In order to solve this linear inequality, we need to group all the variable terms on one side, and all the constant terms on the other side of the inequality.
In our example,
- term 4, will be moved to the right side.
- term −2x, will be moved to the left side.
Notice that a term changes sign when it 'moves' from one side of the inequality to the other.
