The reference 'from step 2 to 3' is ambiguous because it depends on how many solution steps were requested.  I always recommend that you start with 'a few steps' [see the 'Options' tab].  The equation you provided has three variables, hence choose which variable should be solved for and click on a particular solution step in order to review the logic which is provided [shown below].
