how do I enter powers of ten? I need to enter a division with powers of ten on both sides

Answer provided by our tutors

Regrets for any difficulties... the problem statement can be interpreted in several ways.  A best approach for entering an exponent can be enclosing a term in parentheses.  For example, "(x+2)^10" and entering a division symbol, '/', leads to entry of the denominator.
