How do I graph this and how do I find slope. I am confused on both instances and tried to read about both but don't get it.

thank you ahead of time, have to take a quiz and just keep getting it wrong.

Answer provided by our tutors

It is easy once the equations are solved for y -- see the very bottom of the solution process:

slopes are the fractions multiplying 'x'.

In order to draw the lines choose some very simple values for x, substitute and evaluate.

For example, when x=0 (first equation), y=-1

if x=4 then y=-3

Two points area enough to draw the line.

You repeat the process for the second equation
