I don't understand how 15x=45

To ensure an equation is balanced, whatever addition/subtraction/multiplication/etc. is applied to the left side must also be applied to the right side.  So your equation has +25 added to both sides, which effectively "moves" -25 from the left side into the right side of the equation and -25 on the left becomes +25 on the right.
