We subtract '13' from both sides of the equation and get negative number, '-7', on the right hand side of the equation:
From the definition of absolute value:
|x| = x if x is positive,
|x| = −x if x is negative,
|0| = 0
we know that an absolute value can never be negative.
On the other hand we got absolute value equal to negative number -7' thus contradiction and the equation has not solutions. The set of the solution is the empty set:
