I'm having trouble figuring out how to divide using doyourmath.com everytime i try to use the divide sign, it makes it a fraction.

Answer provided by our tutors

One of the easiest way to enter a fraction with a complicated numerator is to enclose the numerator in parentheses [shown in the attached image].  From what I see in your entry, typing in directly "2+4*6-9/3" places the '3' as a denominator for '9' rather than for '2+4*6-9', so enter '(2+4*6-9)/3' (enclose the numerator in parentheses).
