I NEED FURTHER UNDERSTANDING OF HOW X =Y+3/3?
Answer provided by our tutors
Since we need to solve for 'X', we moved '-3' to the other (left hand) side of the equation:
Y + 3 = 3X
This is the same as:
3X = Y + 3
Divide both sides by '3':
X = (Y+3)/3
X = Y/3 + 3/3
X = Y/3 + 1
