Well, "correct" can depend on what form is desired.  For example, the tab 'Solve' or 'Simplify' is the answer which manipulates the expression to a simplified form.  The tab 'Factor' specifically manipulates the expression into a factored form. 

If is also worth pointing out that using the 'Options' tab is a good choice for initially selecting 'a few steps' and then select more steps as the additional steps are actually helpful.  These examples are shown in the following images:
