I want to make sure I understand why the comparison sign flipped when we divided both sides by -8. If the variable has a negative attached to it we have to switch the comparison sign to make the variable positive?
Answer provided by our tutors
An inequality which begins with "<16" indicates that 16 is the largest value.
Once a negative factor is applied to both sides, the "greater than" becomes "less than", as in ">-16" because -16 would then the smallest value.
