Not understanding how you came up with that answer because I keep coming up with a differrent answer

Yep, that simplification is pretty ungainly... something that happens very rarely.  I always start a solution through the 'Options' tab and select 'a few steps'... that normally cleans up any solution and any additional solution steps can often be very useful.  That particular expression, however, tortures the simplification because ">=" must be changed to "<=" in order to place the variable on the left side.

So adding "1/2" to each side would have reduced "3>=x-1/2" to "3+1/2>=x" and that can easily be expressed as "x<=7/2" or "x<=3.5".

I will notify the developers that this simplification should be reviewed.
