when you ask for the solution only it show 8/7 but the step in any of the details steps don't get you there?

Taking the logarithm of boths sides converts each side into sums and powers of products. If you want the solution to be given as a decimal, click on the 'Options' tab and select 'real numbers' rather than 'integers'.
It is also useful to begin a solution with 'a few steps' and increase the number of solution steps when additional steps are helpful.
