Trying to sketch the graph of the function for f(x)=-1+e to the x power

Answer provided by our tutors

Two issues to be aware of: functional notation and usage of 'e' as a constant rather than a variable.

The "software keyboard" provides a button for entry of 'e' [and PI, etc.] so that constant numbers may be entered rather than variables.

Equations provided using functional notation should be entered without the functional notation because syntactically "f(x)" is equivalent to "the variable f multiplied by the variable x, in parentheses". So to simply graph a function, replace "f(x)" with a single [unique, so don't use 'x'] variable, such as "y".

...and a third issue!  To graph an equation use the 'Graph' tab rather than 'Solve'.
