By solving

2x+3 = 0 and x - 1 = 0 you will find the values that cannot be solution.

First we will solve:

2x + 3 = 0

........

x = - 3/2

Next we solve:

x - 1 = 0

x = 1

Meaning x cannot be -3/2 nor 1.
