Yes I need help with finding the derivative

y= x^3 - 9x^2 + 2

Answer provided by our tutors

Our focus is squarely placed on algebraic manipualtions.  Some derivation problems may be solved through the quickmath.com solver:

x^3 - 9x^2 + 2

find the derivative

3x^2-18x

The general rule is to zero out any numeric values (+2 differentiates to 0);

multiply any coefficient by the exponent and decrement the exponent by 1 (3x^2 differentiates to 6x), etc.
